I am $400 richer today!

I got that ITE Edusave Merit Bursary Award last Sunday and the cash should be banked in by 2pm today.

So guess where the money is goin' to...

Bills... Bills... Bills!

I'm quitting Student Council. Since i already got the sponsorship from SGH i can't afford to fully commit myself to SC. Besides, the whole "Grooming Course" incident really ticked me off.

I got a call from SC and I was told that i was PICKED for this Grooming Course and I HAVE TO come and PAY $12 for it. And if i don't attend, I HAVE TO PAY $18!

So i sat back and let it all synced in... it sounds like daylight robbery to me. Coz i feel like not only they EXTORT me but they just had to BLACKMAIL me on top of it!

A damn good impression of the CCA for a new member like me. *roll eyes*

So i didn't turn up for the course anyway due to my "morning sickness". Nooo... I am NOT preggo. I dunno what's wrong with my throat but it just itches real bad and sored up every morning. And i'll get sinus every now and then. It might be an allergy. So i guess i'm gonna have to forked out that 18 bucks. Blah!

Ok... let's talk about happy things now. Sarina & Sharifah was planning to go to Desaru Resort next week on the 6th April. It's just gonna be a short 2 days trip. I will most probably be joining them.

Isn't Desaru beautiful? It would be nice to have a weekend getaway this school holiday. Indulge in Seafood, smell the sea breeze and just RELAX!!!

ADVENTURE IN IKEA

3 girls met on a sunny Sunday afternoon with the hopes to hunt for a religious class. Me, Ana & Sarina were looking for a perfect class with the perfect timing for us to learn Quran. We went to Darul Arqam and i just love the bookshop coz everything is in English. They even have this cool gadgets like a Mp3 for Quran and even an Islamic Cellphone. That's definitely gonna be on my Wish List soon.

We then head down to IKEA. This is the first time we've been to the newly-opened store that everybody's talking about. So what do you get when 3 crazy chicks who are too free on Sundays gone to the Adult's so called "Toys 'R' Us" = MADNESS!

TURN YOUR SPEAKERS UP!

"Soul of a Woman" by Kelly Price... I simply fell in love with this song when i first heard it. I think every woman and even men can relate to this beautiful song.

My exams are finally over but i am down with a terrible flu. My fever is 38 degrees celcius, my throat is so sore and i can't even swallow, my whole body is aching so bad.

So.. after the exam last Monday, i got posted to Changi General Hospital again under Ms Rahimah. I heard she's an AWESOME Clinical Instructor and my team is the same "kaki" as my previous posting. Connie, Faeezah, Mei Lin, Farhana, Nisha and the rest noisy bunch. It's gonna be a fun 1 week before me, Connie & Mei Lin are off to Melbourne. Poor Victor are stuck in Group 3. But he shouldn't fret over it. I'm sure he'll get to do the replacement with us.

Anyway, Ladies & Gentlemen... you're looking at one of the 6 new Ambassador of ITE College East for Nursing. Congrats to my fellow Ambassadors -- Victor, Cornelia, Mei Lin, Ting Ting and Suresh. I must say that studying Nursing in ITE CE have given me so many prospects & opportunities to shine.

Pursuit of Happyness

This is one FANTASTIC heart-wrenching movie! It's a story of a father who struggled through obstacles over obstacles just so to provide happiness for his son. And i thought it was a beautiful ending too coz although he could already afford to buy a car, but he still walk his son to school.

2 thumbs up for Will Smith. He is such an amazing actor! I've never seen him cry before and seeing him shed so much tears in this movie is just so heart-breaking. And applaud for the little precious Jaden Smith. Will Smith's very own son. He is a great actor himself. He is sooo adorable and I just fell in love with him in this movie.

Will my son look like Jaden?? Hehe! With that cute little afro and that cute little pout....

I was still sleeping at around 10.30am when i received a phone call. The number looks familiar and when i answered it was Madam Jenny Yeo. It then knock some senses into me that it gotta be about the Student Exchange Programme (Australia) that i've been interviewed for the day before by Ms Gui, Mr Tay and Ms Tham. The nerve wrecking interview and i swear i've got no hope for after they asked me about my school conduct. The interview went so well in the beginning when Ms Gui was asking me about my USA trip and they were impressed at how independent I was for going to America all by myself and stayed there for a month. But my interview turned sour when they asked me how many sick leaves i took last year and i got a pretty high MC rates.

So Mdm Yeo was like saying that she wants to announce the successful applicants who managed to go to Australia. All the applicants were already there in her office except me since my class starts late today. So i thot to myself, why is she wasting my time since she already have the winners with her.

So she's like "The first person who gets to go to Australia is.... Victor!" so everybody claps and i congratulate Victor on the phone. "The 2nd is Mei Lin. 3rd is Cornelias..." yup, Mdm Yeo pronounced our dearest Miss Connie's name with an "S"! Hahaha! "And the last one is...." At this point i kept thinking to myself must be Angeline... Angeline... Angeline... when Mdm Yeo suddenly said "YOU!"

And I was like "Huh? Me??" And Mdm Yeo just laughed and everybody just went "Congrats Lubaina!" At this point... I just jumped out of me bed and screamed and jumped and screamed again and shocked the hell out of my Grandma & Mom!

I'M GOING TO MELBOURNE!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. I'll be staying in Melbourne for 3 weeks from 23rd April to 11 May. All expenses will be paid by my school (ITE COLLEGE EAST) including air ticket, accomodation and meals. I'll be studying theory in Homesglen Institute of TAFE for a week and the next 2 weeks, i'll be on Clinical Postings at Nursing Homes. It's gonna be a Gerontology program so i'm very excited about this since I like working with elderly and taking care of them anyway.

But what i'm excited most about is we get Rest & Relax for Saturdays and Sundays. We can go anywhere we want and our buddies will take us. There's so many places that i wanna go... I wanna visit the Waterfronts, the Aquarium, the Chocoholic Tours, go on a tram rides, go shopping...........................

And I'm so happy that Connie get to go too. This trip is gonna be "KECOH" (Chaotic) with me & Connie there. All the bitching and butt-slapping. It's gon be krayzee!!
